What is Beconase nasal spray?
Beconase nasal spray is a nasal spray containing the active substance Beclomethasone, a drug that falls under the corticosteroids group (adrenal cortex hormones). Beclomethasone has anti-inflammatory effect and makes the nasal mucosa less sensitive to certain stimuli respond.
What is it used for?
Beconase nasal spray is prescribed in the case of a (chronic) inflammation of the nasal mucous membranes. This causes symptoms such as a runny nose, nasal congestion, itching and Sneezing. Causes of an inflamed nose can vary mucosa of house dust or pet allergies to hay fever or nasal polyps. Beconase nasal spray reduces the swelling and Irritation of the nasal mucosa, causing the symptoms.
How to use Beconase nasal spray?
Beconase nasal spray must be used several times per day to points of exquisite fixed time. The nasal spray is supplied in a handy atomizer. In this leaflet you will find a detailed description of the use of this atomizer, and how you use the nasal spray at the best. It may take some time before you notice an improvement of complaints. Beconase nasal spray contains 42mcg Beclomethasone per puff. If the doctor advising otherwise, the General recommended dosage is as follows:
- Adults and children 12 years of age: twice daily 1 to 2 sprays in each nostril.
- Children from 6 to 12 years: once daily 1 spray in each nostril.
The doctor determined the need to as long as you have the funds. Beconase nasal spray is not suitable for children under 6 years of age. Have you forgotten a dose of Beconase nasal spray? Then you can do this, except when it is already almost time for the next dose. Never take a double dose of Beconase nasal spray, in order to compensate for the forgotten dose.
